Everyone may see my wheelchair as taken care of me, but it goes both ways. If I do not take care of, or abuse my wheelchair it will not be around for long. It work as any other relationship, you are rewarded with what you put into it.

Everyone has to love Gollum and how he freaks out when he cannot find his ring. How can an everyday item as a ring, or wheelchair have so much power over a person. It just shows how one does not realize how dependent they are on something until it is gone. In our minds we are bigger and stronger then we see it’s value.

I was thinking about the old cartoon when you when character needs to make a decision, do they listen to their good or bad self? Sometimes it can be the same for my inner wheelchair, there are some situations I could use it to my advantage, but is not always ethical. Than there are times when the wheelchair is saying don’t go down that trail and you pay for not listening to it.

Price: $1,200.00

This is a drawing that help started the series that I developed during my MFA work. I start to morph my body and wheelchair into one. For 40 plus years I have people see wheelchair/disability before being seen as a person. From looking at the marks, I was still doing the majority of work with my headstick.

This is just brilliant!

I think this is awesome idea, I just think its just time to come up with ways to make things accessible and bring together as partners and a team. It would be odd to try and have a conversation riding this.  I not nocking the idea, but I would feel too separated from Wifey, or my friend while using this.
I know it is an age thing, I would loved this as a kid. Now I would rather do things with people.

Accessible Caves

This reminds me of when Wifey and I went to luray caverns in VA.  to us it seemed accessible even the some ramp we steep. I think we were more amazed that underground everything was ramped and not stairs.

Think flying is stressful? Try it in a wheelchair

This would be an awesome sight to see! Too bad there was GoPro‬ the time I was flying by myself and saw my ‎wheelchair‬ sitting on the tarmack as I felt the plane pulling from the gate!

Artist Are Researchers Too

Bird 2014, Pastel on canvas 40in. X 38in. This is a very experimental piece, I was trying to combined two images that I work with often. I did an under drawing of the wheelchair icon and tried to blend it into parts of the eye. I think, I should play play with these two images in photoshop to develop it more.

I feel like PDWs have a sixth sense, as a way to protect them self from bad people. Would most people trust someone with banking information, or the things in daily life that wrong person could do a lot of damage with?

I came out from the bathroom this morning and found this little one curled up on my power chair. Wifey tells me she does that a lot, especially on the days I go to the studio. In fact Daisy will sleep in my chair for about an hour after I leave for the day.

Each morning after I take a shower and open the door, she has to have kisses before I can get out of the bathroom. I would like to think it's because she misses me and not for the leftover toothpaste.

My Reaction to: Don't Hate The Cure, Hate the Haters! @theseed9811

I think it comes down to the quality of life. Some parents might want their children to have the same changes in life as they did and this can not be achieved while their child is disabled. I have been asked many time about the "Magic Pill" of I have always said hell no! I have three degree, live life as an Artist, have lovely wife and daughter. Not to say I been to the Oscar's and get to travel all over sharing my story. How many other able body people get to do that?

I do get nervous and sad when I about parents putting their kids through a experimental surgery, or treatment when it causes them pain and time from living life. For example, when I at Ridge school there were kids that missed school months at a time due to surgery to have there hamstrings cut. In order to have their legs be able to stand flat footed and most of the time it did not work. So was it worth them missing out on school and the social aspect for this surgery.

in recent years people have been doing experimental treatment with Botox. Lets think about this, they putting poison into one's body to relax/tighten muscles. None of this is permanent, so every few months you need another shot.

Why not use the same time, energy and funds to make their environment more accessible for their lives? To me that would seem more beneficial and for all. I just all of the money being spent on "Medicine" When it could use for long lasting accessibility!
